quiet.
everyone’s sleeping. it’s 1pm. we woke up and ate and now we’re taking afternoon naps.
i’m down in beaverton, OR for the weekend. for the fourth. it has been a great weekend (albeit a bit boring) because the family is all together and we all dote upon baby Tam (it’s prnounced kind of like Th-ah-mb).
she’s grow quite a bit fat-wise. she’s a VERY healthy eater just like her mom. basically, she sleeps. eats. burps. farts. poops. and then sleeps. and sometimes she does two at once like pooping while eating. it’s kinda weird in a funny cute baby way [: she’s absolutely marvelous. adorable beyond words. she also has long legs like me that love to kick away her covers. she’s sleeping right now (i think our sleeping schedule revolves around her.) and she’s making little sucking motions with her mouth. man, she eats even in her dreams! ^^
the fourth was normal. i think the whole luster of fireworks on the fourth and whatnot has faded for me. sad, right? we went to see fireworks down in downtown portland and it was more tiring than eventful. too many people. lot’s of hustle and bustle. just tiring. i had more fun just lighting our own mini-set of fireworks at home after the show. and okay, i was disappointed because i found out those huge ones were just…huge fountains. apparently anything that flies in the sky and goes boom is illegal? DAMMIT. I KNEW WE SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE INDIAN RESERVATION. lol. i’m just hoping the neighbors near our house in seattle didn’t get to carried away and accidentally shoot a roman candle into our yard or something because our grass is dryyyyyyy. it happened one year, i kid you not. lucky we had a hose. burnt like, 2 feet by 1 feet of our grass. >< but yea, it was fine. next year, i’m hoping to go to ally’s because i remember having fun there because 1) they have really good food, 2) playing mahjong with her aunts is funnnn, 3) AMAZING FIREWORKS
so yes, now i will go feed Tam because she just woke and is angry. and everyone else needs her sleep since i’m in charge of feeding and burping for now. =D
here is a video to keep you occupied . great great great ! plus. taylor swift always reminds me of my hone y now. ><”
i do like this cover a lot, his left hand is clearly softer than his right so it brings out the melody more. and the sound is better than on his cover of love story. all in all, i like it. ^^

nothing is better.
i went shopppppppppppppping.
lalallalallalalala yay yippeee! now i’m basically, good until next summer when i come back to iowa. i only went to three stores too. aeropostale. rue21. and kohls. oh yes! though i spent too much money though. i hyperventilated when the cashier was ringing up the stuff and the numbers were adding up. ><
and i’ve drove a bit too. so that makes me happy. i have wen on many curbs, turned too fast, an almost hit a parked car. bwahahaha oh yes! and i’ve been driving for less than 2 hours total too. ohmann, i wonder how i’m going t do when i actually start driving. stay off the road. consider yourself warned seattleites.
and i went to the library and got a lot of haruki murakami books. that is the shtuff right there! i mean, seriously. go read him. the way he uses words is just absolutely amazing.
i also had lots of gelato today. lime jalepeno, wildberry jalepeno, and raspberry chocolate. you can’t get the jalepeno flavors anywhere in seattle. i’m so serious. i love it sooo much but i can only get it here. sad!
and what else,
i’m up at 2:22am watching music vids on VH1.
oh, this is the life.
only oneand half more weeks til school starts! oh,ew.
but yay, meeting people!

too cute for words.
todaaaaaaaaay.
was pretty sweet. got free tickets to go on rides at Seattle Center and the Pacific Science Center and hung out with AlMar.
Okay. So I know we waited in line for like half and hour to ride that damn rollar coaster but in a way it was totally worth it.
“what’s up“
. . . . . .
Oh yes. Cute Wasian guy. That is…an asian guy that’s so whitewashed I can see his A&F shirt in my dreams. He was soooo cute! I mean, I totally noticed him when we were hanging out in the back of the line but it’s not as if I looked any bit attractive in my mud skirt and “hand picked for you” aqua green shirt. But he and his white friends *tsk tsk tsk*. And they were mere groupies to an actual group. We could tell. He totally cut us in line! Anyways, apparently I have finally discovered what turns me on : flippy hair. Ahahaha. And apparently, flippyhaired guy looks kinda like Shawn? I guess I’m trying to find summer replacement to temporarily fill my mind til I see him again. rofl. But yea. Ohmygosh. He was absolutely delicious.
So we go onto the rollar coaster and whatnot. We sat in the last seats with cuteflippyhairedguy in front of us with his friend when he turns around to me and is like “What’s up”. And being me, I just stared back dumbly. OHMYGOD. I’m such a dumbass. I mean, it’s not as if I can come up with a catchy phrase back to that in the 3 seconds that he looked at me expectantly and then, after realizing I was a dumb mute, turning back to his friend. This would have been two scenarios (knowing me) if I opened my mouth:
1) “what’s up”
“i’m about to hurl. ohmygosh. i’m scared”
impression: wussy asian girl.
2) “what’s up”
“not much”
impression: laaaaaaaaaaame
I mean, HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION ANYWAY/ JEEZUS. i get it online all the time, but who the hell turns around to a random person and just asks “what’s up”. I mean, it would have hella better if he was like “u ready?” and i would have been like “hell yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea!” and that would have gained me SOME points. but wtf. i’m such a nerd when it comes to opposite sex interactive. i should live under a rock. maybe take some lessons? talking to males 101. haha.

anyways, it was all great. seattle pacific science center. i haven’t been there in like aaaaaaages. ever since my seagull eating my sandwich incident >< i hella wish we had more time so we could check out the butterfly exhibit though. bugs were creepy. speed was alright. i liked the mini exhibits they had to test reflexes and whatnot. i’m hella strong, holding a chin-up for a minute.
OH
and that Tornado ride. Dude. the other two people sitting with us were hella into spinning the chairs so it was like a super tire swing at the park. Oh damn. I hella was dizzy afterwards.

Legacy is a legacy
Today was my first day of my internship at Legacy House. And I must say that it was absolutely amazing. That place is an oasis in a desert. The people who I work beside are saints and that’s not even enough to cover how particularly fabulous they are. Legacy House is basically a nursing home in the International District (aka Chinatown) that has daily programs for the elderly in the community, particularly the Asian minority. It’s where I work 5 hour days (4 hours next week), 5 day a week. I’m constantly on my feet assisting the elderly and basically learning the whole concept of such an atmosphere.
Today I did Occupational Therapy (just like Physical..only less physical) a lot and worked with the guy there, Voltaire. We did heat pads and bicycling and paperwork and one-on-one with patients. And man they get into their mahjong games! No lie! And the food there is actually pretty good and I learned how to say chicken, beek, and prok in Chinese and I definately hoping to learn more. There’s a Vietnamese lady that craves Vietnamese company since she can’t speak any other language so she basically clung to me >< and what else…. Gosh my feet hurt cuz I totally wore the wrong shoes and with the whole up-on-your-feet for the whole time deal, i have to get those spngey Dr Scholl’s (?) stuff to put in your shoes to make them “gel-in”.
Okay, Voltaire is hilarious. He’s sweet and charming and such a good guy. And while I’m on the topic of people, there’s Shigure, Frank, Mary Beth, Mei Yun, and Mary (my supervisor who wasn’t here today). Frank ended up showing me the ropes. And then afterwards, we all went out for bubble tea at Oasis. For an hour. ON my work schedule. Meaning, I just got paid to chat and drink bubble tea. Although it was a “meeting” but more like, 5 minute meeting, 55 minute joking around. Hell yea. And apparently we have field trips coming up and all that so I’m SO excited.
Anyways. Short blog. Too tired. Heading to sleep. Basically, I’m loving the summer already.

burnt biscuits. extra crispy, anyone?
these two days have be freakin’ amazing.
seriously. the sun has finally to take some Prozac and freaking show up at the party. And it was roccccccccking! I totally even skipped two classes on Friday just because it was so so nice to be bathing in gorgeousness at the park [with good company of course] and just soakin’ in some good ol’ vitamin D. The only downside to Friday was my chemistry test but what can I do about it. Que sera sera. It’s in the past, must look forward to the future! BUt yea, other than that. Great day. And the store was extra busy too which means profits go up which means parents happier which means less stuff to nag me about. Win-win situation.
Today I woke up at 6:30am and headed down to Tacoma for a Dragon Boat Racing Competition thing for my sister’s fiance. All I can say that it was bomb. God, these races are so intense and the team he plays for (Zamboanga) is so damn good. They’re teamwork is exceptional and everyone gets along so easily with their members. The captain is rigid and quite intimidating but he knows how to play the game and off the field, he’s really friendly (not the mention he has the most adorable two little boys ever!). I mainly was a groupie and just hung around and talked to people, played games, ate a lot, cheered a lot, and walked around in the sun alot. A LOT. I’m quite tan/sunburnt now. Like a red brownish color to me. I wore hella short shorts and a boyfriend tank and you can see where the lines end. At least my face “glows” now. haha. And it’s super funny cuz the front of my legs are brownish but the backs are less brown because when I laid out to tan, I hella forgot to flip sides (: Me and my farmer’s tan. But yea. Zambo came into 2nd place. But that’s okay, they just have to do pushups for punishment. Lol. BUt yea, I’m super happy right now. I even did a little big of pick-me-up shopping today. I bought GEL PENS. Hell yea. I’m pretty siked.
Oh and I went to the Museum of Glass today too (because it’s right next to wear they were racing) and it was sooooo eyepopping. Like I just had this huge urge to go up to the glass sculptures and just tip them over. Heh. And we watched them make the glass and blow them and stuff too in this arena-type show and it was cool! And I had corn on the cob and spicy hot dogs and ate hella junk food and got teased at by Mexican guys in pickup trucks and uhm…yea!
=D
Happy happy happy. & I have minimal Accounting homework to do tonight so I’m bouts to hella go play some DDR or read or do something I enjoy doing. Oh taht reminds me…we have some cheesecake ice cream in the freezer. Yessssss. Oh or I could go lay on the hammock and look at the stars cuz OMG the sky is CLEAR!
& TOMORROW
I’m going to my favorite place in all of Seattle. The Pike Place Market. & maybe the University Ave Street Fair? Is that still going on tomorrow? And apparently some shopping for a new rug in the house.
DAMN I LOVE THE SUN.
